World Food Day in Expo 2015

Eat Parade was also present at the official ceremony of the World Food Day that was held October 16, 2015 at the Auditorium of Expo. This year’s theme: “Social Protectionand Agriculture: breaking the cycle of rural poverty.”
For the occasion, there are many authorities intervened in Expo: the Secretary Generalof the United Nations Ban Ki Moon and the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella; José Graziano da Silva (Diouf), Paolo Gentiloni (Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs), Maurizio Martina (Italian Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry), Kanayo F.Nwanze (President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development – IFAD ),Ertharin Cousin (Executive Director of the World Food Programme – WFP) andGiuliano Pisapia (Mayor of Milan).
During the ceremony was delivered to the Secretary General of the United Nations BanKi Moon the Charter of Milan, the great legacy of this World Exposition.
