Giovanni Atzeni is 14, lives in Sassari and followed in the footsteps of Felix Finkbeiner, another great guy who just 12 years had planted one million trees in Germany and created the global environmental organization “Plant for the Planet”.
Main objective of the organization is to plant 1,000 billion trees around the world (the number of trees cut down in the last 100 years and never reforested) as a sign of climate justice. The boys of Plant for the Planet, whose motto is “Stop talking, start planting”, depart and arrive from eight to 20 years. Today the “little ambassadors of climate” are over 22 thousand worldwide.
President of the Governing Council of the association, Azteni in Sardinia was a precursor, has traveled, organized workshops and then was a candidate, he was voted, met so many guys like him, who share the same vision. Their intervention program is based on three main points: the reduction to zero emissions of carbon dioxide by 2050, climate justice, planting trees.
Giovanni Atzeni, small ambassador with clear ideas, actively participates in school, attending the most important events of the project, he believes in change. “No more war, now serves oxygen”.
