The supermarket without packaging | eatparade
On 13 September in Berlin, he was born the first ecological supermarket, which sells all without packaging: it is called Original Unverpackt.
Activity of crowdfunding allowed two young entrepreneurs, Sara Wolf and Milena Glimbovski, to crown a dream of what they did since 2012. The aim is to spread the philosophy of sales on tap and to eliminate all waste associated with packaging. In Germany, in fact, annually they produce about 16 million tons of waste and has been calculated that plastic bags take at least 400 years to disintegrate and often end up in the waters of the seas and rivers.
Nothing casings of aluminum or cardboard boxes, each one will bring from home their containers and will fill in the quantities they most want.
But what are the products available in this supermarket without packaging?
Organic is a majority, also there are conventional products, excellent quality, such as pasta, cereals, wine, products for the hygiene of the house and of the person.
Another important aspect: having the ability to choose and freely manage the quantities to be purchased, reduces food waste: we think of all the times that we threw a food left in the fridge too long.
