Il primo robot pizzaiolo | eatparade
Researchers at the University of Naples Federico II, the Prisma, have created the first robot pizza history. This project, coordinated by professor Bruno Siciliano (robotics expert and head of the Laboratory of Robotics), could not be developed and implemented if not in Naples, home of the pizza. It is RoDyMa, which stands for Dynamic Robotic Manipulation, a robot equipped with a camera and a sensor for video games, which is able to perform the movements of the pizza (dough, season and cook the pizza), according to the strictest rules Neapolitan tradition.
The robot pizza, will be exhibited and presented for the first time on display in “Remote Future”, in the nine pavilions set up in Piazza del Plebiscito. The event will have as main theme the border, it will be held from Friday 16 to Monday 19 and was organized by the City of Science, in collaboration with the Federico II.
The objective is not to replace the good pizza, but demonstrate how a robot can come to human levels.
