CHOCOLATE DEPRESSION | eatparade
Common sense gives chocolate powers antidepressants, but in reality this is not supported by scientific data, in fact, a study conducted at the University of Minnesota has shown that chocolate does not cure depressive crises.
The news published in the Journal of Health, has demolished a certainty inherent in the hopes of everyone and announced the test applied on a group of volunteers.
They were asked to choose between foods present, those able to raise their morale: 26% chose the chocolate, ice cream 18% and 16% cookies.
A small percentage chose the salty foods, such as popcorn and peanuts.
The experiment followed by watching sad movies and with a second offer of food comforting for some, while others are touched muesli or even nothing.
Volunteers sent their emotions on paper and no matter what they had or had not eaten, showed improved mood.
This experiment shows that the mood is not connected to the food, but is a natural mechanism in which negative emotions subside and eventually disappear by themselves.
