But what are the healthiest foods in the world?
Many foods stand out for their beneficial properties. Some of them represent a mix of taste and health. Here are some examples.
The pomegranate contains only 70 calories and it is antioxidant, antibacterial, fights diabetes, heart disease and cancer.
Spinach, good for athletes because they are rich in vitamins and minerals. Being rich in iron, they are ideal to counter the sense of weakness of people suffering from anemia.
Besides being delicious, broccoli also have many health benefits. They are an excellent source of potassium, which helps maintain a healthy nervous system and brain, as well as promoting muscle growth.
Many also the properties of green tea that reduces the risk of esophageal cancer, lowers the levels of bad cholesterol (LDL), improves the immune system and reduces the risk of infections.
Walnuts are rich in vitamins, protein, omega 3 and minerals such as phosphorus, magnesium and iron. They help prevent heart disease because they lower cholesterol, improve memory and concentration.
Kiwis contain properties that are still unknown, however, they have been shown to reduce asthma and fight coughing and wheezing, particularly in children. In addition, they protect DNA from mutations, provide many vitamins and antioxidants and help prevent colon cancer because they have a high fiber content.
The list goes on with other fruits but mostly with seeds and berries that contain more nutrients than most other foods: vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber.
