Until now we have been described more than 1 million 700 thousand species, but in reality it is assumed that there may be more than 12 million: many are waiting to be discovered. Biodiversity ensures the survival of life on Earth. The man has the right to extinguish species. Instead it has a duty to preserve the environment and the Earth’s resources for future generations.
