The comparison between the 1A and 3B of the Don Bosco we found that the class “less wasteful” is 3B.
The 1A wasted in the first week 7 kg and 50 grams of food, nearly a pound more than the 3B, which has instead wasted no less than 6 kg and 430 grams of food.
This greater wastage is also due to the fact that 3B is less numerous of the other class.
We noticed that usually a less waste of pasta, the higher waste of bread and fruit, and vice versa.
By far the most wasted food is the fruit with a total of 2 kg and 320 grams for the 1A and 2 kg and 800 grams for the 3B.
The second week in both classes, we are committed to reduce our waste.
The result was 500 g of food is not wasted for the 1A and 270 gr less for 3B.
