Short Food Movie - ONU per Expo2015 | eatparade

As part of Expo 2015, the UN support the initiative Short Food Movie – Feed your Mind, organized by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma and the Experimental Cinema Centre. The central theme of Expo 2015 – the food – will determine the future of all: yet for these big events is always the fear that ordinary people have no voice. The Expo, however, launched an open global call to action so as to  allow everyone to express their point of view on the relationship with food, so why not share recipes, travel, culture, memories, reviews and ideas on the future of sustainable food through short videos?

Through a web platform, they were already collected thousands, from 30 to 60 seconds, made with smartphones and tablets based on the theme of Expo Milano 2015 “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”. The project includes a category dedicated to the theme of the United Nations, “Zero Hunger Challenge – United for a sustainable world”, with video dedicated to the five objectives of the Zero Hunger Challenge, to women and their role in the fight against hunger and malnutrition. A selection of the best video is projected on the Digital Wall, the mega video installation of 752 monitors in Hall Zero.

The author of the most voted by 10 September will win a trip to Rome and participation in the Rome Film Festival, where his movie will be screened at a time dedicated to it. This project is an opportunity to become protagonists of a great global event, an initiative that aims to involve people in the interpretation of the themes of Expo 2015 related to nutrition, sustainability and cooperation.
